Meditation Classes and Events

Meditation is the art of silencing the mind. When the mind is silent, concentration is increased and we experience inner peace in the midst of worldly turmoil. This elusive inner peace is what attracts so many people to meditation and is a quality everyone can benefit from, and YES you can still be ambitious and goal-striving!

Talking about meditation is the easy part; actually creating the space in your day requires a bit of planning. However, when in need of a push to get started (or continue) with your meditation practice, understanding the array of physical, mental, and emotional benefits can be a convincing reminder of why meditation is important. Once you learn how to meditate and make it a daily habit, you will experience the benefits for yourself; you will wonder how you ever existed without your daily ritual of relaxation! ​

I personally practice daily, and could not imagine my life without it!  I am passionate about teaching meditation and am trained in many forms of teaching meditation that range from Mindfulness from Duke Integrative Medicine and UCLA, Yoga Nidra and Ananda.  I regularly practice in the Sangha community the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center (CIMC), have attended silent retreats at CIMC the Insight Meditation Society (IMS), and am an assistant of Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health.  I am excited to share my knowledge to help you develop your own path in meditation!

Push your “pause button”, and join our growing South Shore meditation community. Meditation offers a host of benefits for the body and the mind, and by using the collective energy of a group, we amplify its effects. In this 45 minute class students will explore gentle movements, enjoy crystal sounds bowls to prepare the body for meditation, and experience guided meditation followed by a period of silence. This class is intended to support anyone interested in developing and sustaining a regular meditation practice. ​

Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra Meditation and Tea

​Join me for a blissful 2 hour practice of Restorative Yoga and Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra.  Yoga Nidra is a state of deep relaxation with inner awareness that can help you experience a profound release of tension and stress and help you connect with the deep sense of peace that comes from pure and complete relaxation. It is an effortless state of being experienced as a state of pure joy and bliss. Joy is your blueprint and your birthright!

Studies show that about 80% of all illnesses stem from stress.  On the most basic level, regular practice of Yoga Nidra is a de-stress program, that can help you experience a profound release of tension, rejuvenate you, refresh you, and help enhance your overall sense of well-being. After a one hour session of Yoga Nidra, you may feel as clear and refreshed as though you’ve enjoyed 3 hours of deep restful sleep.​​

FOUNDATIONS OF MEDITATION
A 3 week course 


It takes practice to develop a new habit!  By using a combination of classes and home practice, this course is designed to help individuals learn how to establish and sustain a daily meditation practice.  This series is designed for beginners, and is also appropriate for those with some meditation experience, who would like to revisit the basics of meditation, and/or deepen their practice. Each class session will include talks, instruction, questions and answers, as well as multiple styles of guided meditation practices.  An audio component will reinforce teachings and help student's commit to a daily practice.
